Note(s): I was inspired by the song Drunk Girl by Something Corporate [ lyrics ]. The idea sounded good in my head, though I'm not sure of that now.. >.>; I thought I'd put it up anyway, since the TRC fandom lacks SxS fanfiction. Constructive criticism, comments and reviews are very much welcome, thank you. :] ~~I'm thinking of putting this up in FF.net, if I get good feedback >.<~~ I did submit it. On FF.net, I mean. *waiting for it to come up*

It wasn’t my fault. I was only checking on her.

She and my other companions had been having yet another drinking session. I had left them to it to study the book I borrowed from the nearby library some more for clues of the whereabouts of a feather. It wasn’t until midnight did the house quiet down.

On instinct, I got up to my feet and crossed the hallway to her room, to see if she was already sleeping. I carefully leaned against the door and pressed my ear to it. “Sakura-hime,” I called softly. I heard nothing, so I reached for the door handle…

When the door opened from the other side.

“Wah -- !” I tumbled into the room, and collided into her. There was a thud as her backside hit the ground, and I held out my arms in front of me to keep from falling onto her completely.

Our faces were only inches away from each other. For a while, I could only stare. I couldn’t help it, she is beautiful.

Then I realized what I had been doing. My face reddened and I started to get up, when she reached up. I froze as her arms intertwined around my neck, and her lips pressed against mine.

My eyes widened. I thought my head was going to explode. She’s kissing me. Sakura-hime is kissing me! For a moment I lost the capability to move. Something must’ve been controlling me, as I gradually relaxed into the kiss.

Eventually I came to my senses and broke the contact. My face crimson, I apologized profusely and got off of her.

I couldn’t think properly. I didn’t know what to do, or what else to say. I stole a glance in her direction – she was still on the floor -- and found her snoring lightly.

I blinked. She kissed me, and now she’s asleep. Just like that. Apparently unaware of what she had just done. I stood up, lifted her easily into my arms and carried her to her bed.

I watched her innocent sleeping form for a moment, before walking out.

Here I am now, lying in bed. I couldn’t sleep. Sakura-hime kissed me. And she most likely won’t remember, since she’s drunk.

Why do I do these things I do to myself?

Nothing too special or pretty. Trying out an icon table generator had been the main reason behind my posting these, but a couple of people from my f-list convinced me that they're worth sharing. ^^;

I colored most of these icons myself, so.. yeah. >.<;
